Bill Sheate

Dip CBH, Cert Int CBT, GQHP, GHR (Reg), Dip SMRB

For over 35 years I worked successfully as an academic in higher education (most recently at Imperial College London), as well as in private consultancy and the voluntary sector, experiencing and managing the pressures of those environments. During that time I brought a willing patience and empathic approach to pastoral care for students, which led me to become a fully qualified and registered, cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist (trained in evidence-based Hypno-CBT®) specialising in anxiety and stress, and particularly in higher education and now increasingly also in eco-anxiety / eco-distress. Having recently taken early retirement from academia (autumn 2023) I am now focused on my private practice as a therapist, while continuing to offer mindful learning and resilience skills training to universities and other organisations.

While I specialise in higher education I work with clients from all walks of life; anxiety and stress know no boundaries, so do feel free to get in touch.
